About the artist

Potter, ceramic artist

Ximena's colourful stoneware ceramics are a cultural fusion inspired by her Colombian roots and her natural surroundings of the Ashdown Forest. Ximena has developed different lines of work in which she explores themes such as the joy and beauty of the relationships between people and nature, the power of the Feminine Divine and the importance of symbols and  rituals. In her own words "it is very important for me to create beautiful objects that people can use, enjoy and make them smile". She is also very passionate about education. She holds teens and adults groups at Michael Hall School.
