Textiles, embroidery, mixed media
My textile art pieces are created using freehand machine embroidery, appliqué and hand stitching. I challenge myself to produce representational 'painted' pieces using only fabric and stitch. I also enjoy making mixed media collages incorporating found and upcycled elements such as sea shells and aluminium coffee capsules. I have recently been upcycling discarded clothing.
