About the artist

Painter

​

I work in watercolour, acrylics, crayons and pastels, inspired by the world around me, here around my new home at Chiddingstone Hoath and on my visits to my motherland, Sweden. For many years I was a photographer specialising in food photography, so I’m still drawn to still life but absolutely not to photo realism. My work is expressionist and gestural. I enjoy simplifying reality to abstraction, sometimes exploring just patterns of light and shade.
